CINCO DE BAJA 250 SCHEDULED FOR MAY 3-4, 2013 IN RIO RANCHO NEW MEXICO HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO FIRE RESTRICTIONS ON ALL PUBLIC LAND. ONCE AGAIN CINCO DE BAJA HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO FIRE RESTRICTIONS IN NEW MEXICO FROM THE DROUGHT WE ARE IN. ALL PRE PAID ENTRIES WILL BE REFUNDED AND WE APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE FOR THIS HEART BREAKING NEWS.

KEEP RIO RANCHO BEAUTIFUL IS hosting a clean up on May 4th. Okay…So since the race has been cancelled, May 4th is the Great American clean-up. I signed us up to participate in this event for Keep Rio Rancho Beautiful by cleaning up the pit area at the end of southern. I need the volunteers who are coming out to help with this event from 8am until 1130am to email me your shirt size and quantity needed for your family that is coming to help…at 12 noon there will be a party for all volunteers at Cabezon park with free pizza and activities for the kids. Email me at nmoffrl@yahoo.com with any questions and shirt sizes… hopefully by this weekend so I can get the supplies the city will provide us and shirts. We will also be collecting for the two charities we were supporting on the pre-run, NM Autism Society and That Others May Live foundation. Please help out. Thank you.

It’s time for the annual Great American Cleanup! This nationwide event is an ideal opportunity for schools, businesses, civic groups, neighborhood and service organizations, individuals and families to contribute to the well-being of their community.
We need volunteers for our citywide cleanup on Saturday, May 4 from 8:00 a.m. until noon. Activities include cleaning public lands, right-of-ways, vacant lots and parks. Advance registration is required to receive cleanup supplies and t-shirts are limited. Volunteers will be rewarded with a BBQ “Thank You” party at Cabezon Park and community center following the cleanup.
